Last Friday our Girls Softball team ventured to Nabiac to play them in the 5th round of the NSW State Knockout Competition. We arrived to a ground very professionally set up, ready to go. After the first innings we were down 8-2 against a well drilled team from Nabiac. Our girls batted beautifully in the 2nd innings scoring 10 runs and limiting Nabiac to 4 runs, meaning the scores were tied at 12-12. Each team scored 2 runs in the 3rd innings, which forced a 4th innings to be played which our girls scored 7 runs to their 4. The final result being 21-18. It was a fantastic game with both teams playing in great spirit and sportsmanship. We sincerely thank Nabiac P.S. for their wonderful hospitality, especially the BBQ and drinks.Our team of Laura, Neve, Luka, Raeshel, Luci, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Charlie and Victoria played beautifully. Our coach, Di, was very proud of them, as were myself and Mrs Mahony (who now knows how to score in softball). We now await the winners of the Hunter 1 section for our next round.
